Hudson Public Schools District sees 0.1% decrease in graduation rates over 2022-23 school year

Hudson Public Schools District had an 87.4% graduation rate during the 2022-23 school year, 0.1% lower than the previous school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 153 students who graduated in the 2022-23 school year, compared to 147 the year before.

Hudson Public Schools District and Fitchburg Public Schools District had the 46th lowest graduation rate in the state.

Hudson Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Middlesex County and has a main office in Hudson.

In 2024, public schools in Massachusetts boasted a graduation rate of 90%, according to Public School Review.

However, younger students' proficiency is still lagging behind pre-pandemic levels. NAEP results show that in 2022, less than 47% of the students were considered proficient in math and reading, with eighth-graders performing the worst, reaching only 35% proficiency in math.
