The City of Lowell welcomes Aaron Fox as the new Executive Director of Lowell Regional Wastewater Utility (LRWWU), replacing outgoing Executive Director, Mark Young. Young recently retired June 30, 2023, after 43 years of service to the City.

According to Lowell City Manager, Thomas A. Golden, Jr., "The City is thrilled with the promotion of Aaron Fox to Executive Director of the Lowell Regional Wastewater Utility. We are confident in Mr. Fox's ability to run the facility with great success."

Fox began his career with the City in June 2000, marking an impressive 23 years of employment with LRWWU. He holds a certified MA Grade 7-C Wastewater Treatment Facilities Operator license. Fox is a graduate of UMass Lowell with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering. The current salary for the Executive Director position is $124,698, effective July 1, 2023.
