Please join us for a lunch mixer with the Merrimack Valley Food Bank! This is the perfect opportunity to network with fellow Chamber members, potential members, and enjoy some delicious food while getting out of the office to enjoy the sunshine. We will also have the opportunity to take a tour of the food bank and see where they do their amazing work! We hope to see you there!
This year we will be collecting snacks for our Operation Nourish Program.
The Operation Nourish Program is the MVFB's Children’s feeding program that provides food to our schools in Greater Lowell to give out to the kids to ensure that they have nutritious food while they are away from school.
Over the last year, since the kids have been back in school we have been working with the schools and have discovered that the kids had been utilizing the pantries for snacks during the school day. General consensus is that they need that little ‘boost’ to get them through the rest of their day.
Some of the items that we are looking for are:
~ granola/Nutrigrain bars
~ fruit snacks
~ ready to eat oatmeal (cups)
~ goldfish
~ cereal bowls (individual)
~ rice cakes
~ peanut butter/cheese crackers
~ Quaker breakfast squares
~ Veggie/(dried) fruit chips
~ pretzels
