Lori Trahan, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Massachusetts' 3rd district, has shared her views on several pressing issues through a series of tweets. Trahan, who has been serving in Congress since 2019, expressed concerns about potential policy changes and their impact on various groups.

On February 12, 2025, Trahan questioned the consequences of former President Donald Trump's proposed dismantling of the Department of Education. She highlighted that such actions could adversely affect "children with disabilities, kids learning a trade, folks in rural areas, first-generation college students – basically anyone dreaming of a better future for their family." "Who will pay the price if Donald Trump dismantles the Department of Education?"

Later that day, at 19:55 UTC, Trahan addressed threats to women's sports arising from Title IX violations occurring in educational institutions. She pointed out that these infractions deny many girls opportunities to participate in sports and advocated for legislative intervention through "The Fair Play for Women Act," which she believes will rectify these issues. "The real threats to women’s sports are the thousands of Title IX violations happening in schools and on college campuses every day."

In another tweet posted at 22:35 UTC on the same day, Trahan focused on healthcare concerns within her district. She noted that over 171,000 residents rely on Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program for essential services. According to Trahan, these individuals face potential risks under a Republican budget plan that could lead to loss of healthcare coverage. "In #MA3 alone, over 171,000 Bay Staters receive life saving care and services through Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program."
