EDA awards the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments $120,000 grant on May 6, 2019

The US Economic Development Administration awarded the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments a grant worth $120,000 to help fund a project in Middlesex County.

The grant was awarded on May 6, 2019. The EDA describes the grant as follows:

"This EDA investment supports the development and implementation of a comprehensive economic development strategy (CEDS) for the region served by the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments in Massachusetts, which comprises the City of Lowell and the Towns of Billerica, Chelmsford, Dracut, Dunstable, Pepperell, Tewksbury, Tyngborough and Westford. The CEDS process is designed to bring together the public and private sectors in the creation of an economic development roadmap to diversify and strengthen the regional economy."
