Lori Trahan, a U.S. Congress member representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district since 2019, recently shared her thoughts on social media about various significant issues. Trahan, who succeeded Niki Tsongas and previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, addressed both local opportunities and national tragedies.
On July 7, 2025, Trahan highlighted the importance of Job Corps Centers such as Shriver, Grafton, and Westover. She emphasized that these centers are vital for teenagers and young adults aiming to overcome challenges. In her words: “Job Corps Centers like Shriver are the heartbeat of opportunity for teenagers and young adults hungry to break barriers, earn their diploma, gain critical skills, and claim their place in the workforce.”
Later that day, Trahan expressed her condolences regarding a natural disaster affecting Texas. She stated: “The catastrophic flash flooding in Texas has taken nearly 100 lives, with dozens still missing. Our hearts are with every family enduring unimaginable loss and uncertainty.” She called for unity during this difficult time by saying: “In times like these, we must come together as neighbors, as communities, and as a nation to support our.”
Lori Trahan was born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1973 and resides in Westford. A Georgetown University graduate from 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
