Lori Trahan, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district since 2019, has been vocal on several legislative issues through her social media platform. Her recent posts highlight her stance on key economic policies and legislative actions.
On June 3, 2025, Trahan expressed her opposition to what she describes as a “MASSIVE handout to Big Tech CEOs” that was debated in the House and is now being challenged in the Senate. She acknowledged Senator Markey’s leadership in this fight, stating “I fought against this MASSIVE handout to Big Tech CEOs in the House. Now, Massachusetts is continuing to fight it in the Senate. Grateful to @SenMarkey for his leadership!”
Later that day, Trahan criticized a piece of legislation referred to as “Trump’s One Big Ugly Bill,” highlighting its potential impact on the national deficit. She noted that “Trump’s One Big Ugly Bill will add TRILLIONS to the deficit.” She accused Republicans of hypocrisy for advocating fiscal responsibility while supporting a bill that could increase budget deficits substantially.
The following day, June 4, Trahan reiterated her disapproval of Trump’s proposed legislation by calling it “a disgusting abomination.” In her post she stated: “Donald Trump’s One Big Ugly Bill is a disgusting abomination, and you don’t have to take my word for it.”
As an elected representative from Massachusetts since replacing Niki Tsongas in 2019 and having served previously in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, Lori Trahan continues to be an outspoken figure on matters concerning fiscal policy and corporate accountability.
