Later that day, Trahan commented on a legal development concerning Trump’s policies. She stated: “A federal judge has TEMPORARILY blocked Donald Trump’s attempt to cut food and rental assistance, stop clinical trials for people battling rare diseases, and even undermine research to cure cancer and Alzheimer’s. This fight is just getting started.” The tweet was posted on January 29, 2025.

Trahan also addressed infrastructure concerns in her district. On January 29, 2025, she asserted: “Let me be crystal clear: If Donald Trump tries to stand in the way of replacing the Rourke Bridge, we won’t hesitate to fight for every penny our community is owed to finally complete this project and make our city safer.”
