Lori Trahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district, highlighted community events and local heroes in Lowell through a series of posts on December 4, 2025.
In one post published at 00:47 UTC, Trahan celebrated the start of the holiday season in Lowell: “It’s official! The holiday season is here, and Lowell kicked it off this weekend with the City of Lights festival. It’s great to see families and friends from across our community coming together to ring in this holiday season with this great tradition.”
Later that day at 20:54 UTC, she posted an image link without additional text: “https://t.co/eQjkKmOcf7”.
Also on December 4 at 20:54 UTC, Trahan acknowledged the bravery of local firefighters: “Last week, four @CityofLowellMA firefighters were honored for their courageous actions that saved a woman’s life during a terrible fire in February. Our firefighters step up every day to protect our communities, and it’s great to see them getting the recognition they deserve!”
Trahan has served as a member of Congress since 2019 after succeeding Niki Tsongas. She was born in Lowell in 1973 and currently resides in Westford. Before her tenure in Congress, she served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1995.
