On June 12, 2025, Trahan highlighted the story of Layla, a three-year-old from Methuen who was born with a rare liver condition requiring a transplant to survive. She shared that “the physicians at @BostonChildrens performed a lifesaving surgery – one made possible thanks to” their expertise and resources.
The following day, on June 13, 2025, Trahan expressed her concerns about public health policies in another post. She stated that “RFK Jr. is gutting decades of work to fight preventable diseases, endangering children, and putting millions of lives at risk.” She further criticized former President Donald Trump for allowing these actions.

Lori Trahan has served in the U.S. Congress since 2019 after replacing Niki Tsongas. Born in Lowell and currently residing in Westford, she holds a degree from Georgetown University and previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
