Lori Trahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district since 2019, posted a series of updates on her social media account in early March 2026 addressing ongoing national and international issues.
On March 7, Trahan commented on the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Iran, stating: “A quick update as we mark day 7 of Donald Trump’s war in Iran.”
The following day, March 8, she marked International Women’s Day with a personal message: “Happy International Women’s Day! From my mom, sisters and daughters to my incredible colleagues in Congress, I’m proud to be surrounded by such strong, intelligent and hardworking women.”
On March 9, Trahan addressed concerns about rising consumer costs and uncertainty over military policy amid the conflict with Iran: “Gas prices up. Groceries up. And the White House can’t give a straight answer on whether your kids could be drafted into Trump’s war with Iran. This isn’t what people voted for.”
Trahan has represented Massachusetts’s 3rd District in Congress since replacing Niki Tsongas in 2019. She previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1973, Trahan is currently 49 years old and resides in Westford. She graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1995.
