Lori Trahan, a U.S. Congress member representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district since 2019, has recently addressed significant legislative issues through her social media posts. On July 1, 2025, she announced the introduction of the HEADACHE Act aimed at supporting individuals suffering from chronic headache disorders. In her post, Trahan emphasized the personal impact of these conditions by stating, “Behind every chronic headache disorder is a person in pain. A parent missing milestones. A worker forced to quit. A teen losing time in school.” She highlighted that this act targets over 45 million Americans enduring these conditions silently.
On July 2, 2025, Trahan called for bipartisan support against proposed legislation associated with Donald Trump by urging Republicans to join Democrats in opposition. She stated on social media that “If only FOUR Republicans join @HouseDemocrats and vote NO on Donald Trump’s Big, Ugly Bill, we can stop the destruction and devastation that this reckless legislation will unleash.” Her post reflected concern about potential negative outcomes from the bill.
Later on the same day, Trahan questioned the rationale behind supporting Trump’s proposed legislation further by posting: “Why would anyone vote for Trump’s Big, Ugly Bill? A handful of Republicans are asking themselves that same question right now.” Through this message, she reiterated her position against what she described as disastrous legislation.
Trahan was born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1973 and currently resides in Westford. She graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1995.
