Lori Trahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district since 2019, announced on December 2, 2025, that her Creating Hope Reauthorization Act passed unanimously in the House. The act aims to improve access to therapies for children with rare diseases.

In a post published at 14:57 UTC on December 2, Trahan stated, “Last night, my Creating Hope Reauthorization Act passed unanimously in the House! This bipartisan bill will make sure every child confronting a rare disease has access to the most effective therapies and give parents confidence that lifesaving options will remain within reach.”

Later that day, Trahan commented on former President Donald Trump’s actions regarding drug trafficking. In a tweet posted at 22:20 UTC on December 2, she wrote, “How can Donald Trump claim to care about drug trafficking while pardoning the guy who enabled years of drug trafficking on an industrial scale? Gross hypocrisy.”

Trahan was born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1973 and currently resides in Westford. She graduated from Georgetown University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Before serving in Congress, she was a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
