Lori Trahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district since 2019, shared updates on legislative and health care issues in a series of posts on December 12, 2025.

In her first post, Trahan announced the advancement of her bipartisan bill: “Great news! My bipartisan Student Financial Clarity Act was approved by @EdWorkforceDems! This bill will help students seeking higher education and their families understand the true cost of their degrees. Next stop: The House floor!” (December 12, 2025).

Later that day, she addressed women’s health research: “The Study of Women’s Health Across the Nation is one of the only research centers dedicated to understanding menopause transitions – groundbreaking work that needs to be built upon, not stymied. That’s why my colleagues and I are calling on RFK Jr to reverse his decision to stop” (December 12, 2025).

In a third statement regarding health care legislation, Trahan criticized Senate Republicans: “Yesterday, Senate Republicans blocked legislation to lower health care prices for millions of Americans. Here in Massachusetts, 10,000+ people are set to lose their coverage altogether because the GOP refuses to act.” (December 12, 2025).

Trahan has represented Massachusetts’ 3rd District in Congress since replacing Niki Tsongas in 2019. She previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and was born in Lowell in 1973. She currently resides in Westford and graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1995.
