Lori Trahan, a representative in the U.S. Congress for Massachusetts’ 3rd district since 2019, shared several updates on social media. Trahan, previously a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives and a Georgetown University graduate, discussed both celebratory and pressing issues through her tweets.

On March 31, 2025, Lori Trahan sent festive greetings for Eid Mubarak, focusing on the community in her district. She expressed, “Wishing a joyous and blessed #EidMubarak to everyone celebrating in #MA3! May the end of the holy month bring you and your loved ones peace and prosperity.”.

In another tweet dated March 31, 2025, Trahan openly criticized former President Donald Trump regarding promises related to Social Security. She stated, “On the campaign trail, Donald Trump repeatedly claimed that he wouldn’t touch Social Security – yet his cuts are plunging the agency into a crisis. Promises made, promises broken.”.

Later the same day, Trahan expressed concern over security breaches involving Social Security data. She conveyed her disapproval, writing, “This is completely unacceptable. The courts found that DOGE staffers were granted access to Social Security’s administrative system — a trove of our most private, sensitive data — BEFORE their background checks were completed. It’s time to update our privacy laws to prevent this.”.
