Lori Trahan, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district since 2019, recently addressed several topics through her social media platform. Her statements highlight her commitment to honoring essential workers and raising awareness on public health issues.
On July 9, 2025, Trahan emphasized the crucial role of journeyman lineworkers by stating that “Day in and day out, journeyman lineworkers risk their lives to keep our electric grid strong and resilient. Their hard work ensures continuous access to the safe, reliable and affordable energy that powers everything we do.” She expressed pride in supporting their service through legislative measures.
Later on the same day, Trahan acknowledged the efforts of interns working in her Lowell office over the summer. She invited others to join her in recognizing these contributions by saying “Please join me in recognizing the phenomenal work that #TeamTrahan’s district interns have accomplished in my Lowell office this summer! None of what we do here would be possible without their hard work, compassion and commitment to serving families across #MA3.”
On July 10, 2025, Trahan turned her attention to a pressing public health concern regarding measles outbreaks. She criticized recent actions taken by RFK Jr., attributing an increase in measles cases to his dismissal of a vaccine panel at the CDC and promotion of anti-vaccine rhetoric. Trahan remarked “America once led the world in wiping out deadly diseases. Now, thanks to RFK Jr. firing the CDC’s vaccine panel and spreading anti-vax conspiracy theories, we just reached the highest amount of measles cases in 33 years.”
