Lori Trahan, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district, has recently taken to social media to address pressing issues affecting her constituents. In a series of tweets, she discussed topics ranging from education policy changes to privacy concerns involving prominent figures.

On March 22, 2025, Trahan met with educators in Fitchburg to discuss the potential impact of former President Donald Trump’s initiative to dismantle the Department of Education. She expressed concern about the repercussions for students lacking access to additional educational resources. “Yesterday, I met with educators from across #MA3 in Fitchburg to discuss Donald Trump’s move to dismantle the Department of Education.” She emphasized that while children from affluent families might remain unaffected due to their access to tutors and other resources, this policy could have devastating effects on others.

The following day, March 23, 2025, Trahan addressed privacy concerns regarding Elon Musk’s alleged access to personal data. Her office reportedly received numerous communications from veterans, seniors, and families worried about privacy violations enabled by outdated laws. “My office has received thousands of calls and emails from concerned veterans, seniors and families asking how it is possible that Elon Musk has unfettered access to our private, personal data.” She highlighted the need for updated privacy legislation.
