Lori Trahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Massachusetts’s 3rd district since 2019, posted a series of tweets on December 10, 2025, addressing issues ranging from political messaging on affordability to the role of private equity in college sports.

On December 10, 2025, Trahan questioned former President Donald Trump’s approach to economic issues, stating: “Seriously? Donald Trump tested his new “message” on affordability – at a casino of all places. No plans to lower prices. No commitment to stop his reckless tariffs. Just more blame-game politics.”

Earlier that day, she shared a tweet without additional commentary: https://t.co/q8hpcl0iDm (December 10, 2025).

Later in the afternoon, Trahan addressed the intersection of private equity and collegiate athletics: “Hear me out. Private equity won’t fix college sports. Instead, Congress should update the Sports Broadcasting Act to let schools pool their media rights, raise revenues and support the growth of all their teams, especially women’s and Olympic sports.” (December 10, 2025).

Lori Trahan has represented Massachusetts’s 3rd District in Congress since succeeding Niki Tsongas in 2019 and previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Lowell in 1973 and currently residing in Westford, Trahan graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1995.
