Lori Trahan, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district, has been vocal on social media about her concerns regarding policy decisions made by former President Donald Trump. Her tweets focus on issues related to food assistance programs, health care coverage, and budget pledges.

On February 19, 2025, Trahan expressed concern over cuts to essential services: “Donald Trump’s cuts to food assistance programs, community health centers, and people’s health coverage will devastate the most vulnerable families in our community. All that just to pay for a tax cut for his billionaire donors.”

The following day, on February 20, 2025, she highlighted a contradiction in Trump’s policies: “Donald Trump promised not to touch Medicaid. 12 hours later, he broke that pledge by endorsing a budget that would strip basic health care from working families, children and seniors.”

Later on the same day, Trahan announced an opportunity for constituents to engage with her directly: “A lot has happened over the past month. To hear directly from you about the issues that matter most and answer your questions, I’m hosting a Tele-Town Hall this Tuesday, February 25th at 5:30pm.
