Lori Trahan, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district, has expressed concerns over recent policy proposals and administrative actions through her social media platform. Trahan, who succeeded Niki Tsongas in 2019, continues to voice her stance on issues affecting her constituents.
On June 4, 2025, Trahan criticized a legislative proposal she referred to as “Trump’s One Big Ugly Bill.” She stated that this bill would “explode the deficit by $2.4 TRILLION and rip health care away from 16 MILLION people,” suggesting it unfairly burdens “hardworking Americans, seniors and folks with disabilities” to benefit wealthy donors. Later that day, Trahan addressed the issue of robocalls in Massachusetts. She noted that residents received over “43 MILLION robocalls” in May alone. Describing these calls as not only nuisances but also “dangerous scams aimed at stealing from hardworking people,” she accused the Trump administration of weakening federal agencies like the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which are responsible for regulating such activities.
