Lori Trahan, who has represented Massachusetts’ 3rd district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently addressed several national issues through her social media posts on July 10, 2025. Trahan, a Georgetown University graduate and former member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, used her platform to comment on government oversight and consumer rights.
In a post published at 15:22 UTC on July 10, Trahan criticized former President Donald Trump’s use of federal law enforcement resources. She stated, “When Donald Trump uses the FBI to chase personal enemies and vendettas instead of investigating and stopping domestic security threats, we’re less safe as a country.”
Later that day at 19:41 UTC, Trahan commented on a recent judicial development regarding consumer protections. She wrote, “This is ridiculous. The federal government FINALLY acted to make it easier for people to unsubscribe from services they don’t need or can’t afford. Now, a federal court is trying to stop that from taking place. This was a bipartisan solution to a problem that affects all of us.” In addition to this statement, she also shared an uncaptioned link in another post at the same time (link).
Lori Trahan was born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1973 and currently resides in Westford. She replaced Niki Tsongas in Congress after winning election in 2018.
