U.S. Representative Lori Trahan, who serves Massachusetts’ 3rd district in Congress, used her social media platform on November 3, 2025, to address concerns about rising health care costs and criticize Republican actions regarding health policy.

In a post at 8:53 p.m. UTC, Trahan stated, “Open Enrollment is here, but even with coverage available, health care costs have skyrocketed, making it unaffordable for too many families. @HouseDemocrats are fighting to make sure we lower these costs for hardworking Americans, and it’s time for the GOP to get back to work”. The same day at 10:10 p.m. UTC, she added, “Families are facing higher costs everywhere they turn. Instead of taking action to lower costs, Republicans are raising the price of health care for millions of hardworking American families.”

The posts highlight ongoing debates in Congress over health care affordability and partisan approaches to addressing cost increases during open enrollment periods.

Trahan has represented Massachusetts’ 3rd district since replacing Niki Tsongas in 2019. She previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and holds a degree from Georgetown University.
