Lori Trahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district since 2019, recently addressed a range of topics on her social media account, including education initiatives at UMass Lowell and Congressional responses to foreign policy decisions involving Iran.
On April 8, 2026, Trahan highlighted developments at the University of Massachusetts Lowell by posting: “Outstanding news for @UMassLowell and students across the Commonwealth. UML is leading the way in expanding co-ops so more students graduate with real experience and a direct path to good-paying jobs. Great to see UMass Lowell leading the way! https://t.co/qjUvSO1zPZ”
The following day, April 9, she commented on former President Donald Trump’s remarks regarding domestic policy and international conflict: “Last week, Trump said we couldn’t help families with child care because of his war in Iran. Now that there’s a ceasefire, will Republicans finally focus on working families here at home?”
On April 10, Trahan continued her criticism of Congressional actions related to Iran: “Once again, Republicans in Congress rubberstamped Donald Trump’s war in Iran. Next, we’ll make them go on record with a War Powers vote. It’s time to put Americans first.
