Lori Trahan, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district, has been active in sharing her views and extending greetings to her constituents via social media. Responding to political and cultural events, Trahan expressed her opinions on issues affecting both her state and the nation.

On April 11, 2025, Trahan commented on the economic policies of former President Trump. She detailed a sequence of events in which Trump allegedly declared tariffs, promised new factories, witnessed an economic downturn, and eventually reversed the tariffs without establishing new factories. Trahan termed this sequence as “So incredibly stupid.

Following that, on April 13, 2025, Trahan extended holiday greetings in a tweet marking a cultural observance. She wished a “Happy Passover to all who are celebrating across Massachusetts,” conveying her hopes for peace and joy to families gathering for the Seder.

Continuing her outreach, on April 14, 2025, Trahan addressed the Cambodian-American community, celebrating the “Happy Khmer New Year.” She highlighted the significant contributions of Cambodian-Americans to Massachusetts, acknowledging their economic, political, and cultural impact.

Lori Trahan has been serving Massachusetts’ 3rd District since 2019, after replacing her predecessor, Niki Tsongas. Before her tenure in Congress, Trahan was part of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1973, Trahan is an alumna of Georgetown University and currently resides in Westford.
