Lori Trahan, currently serving as the U.S. Congress representative for Massachusetts’ 3rd district, has been vocal on various issues on social media. She succeeded Niki Tsongas in this role in 2019. Below are some updates from Trahan’s recent tweets.

On April 7, 2025, Trahan raised concerns about the impact of the Trump Administration’s policies on Social Security beneficiaries within Massachusetts’ 3rd district. “Almost 140,000 hardworking folks across #MA3 receive monthly Social Security benefits because they paid into this program knowing it’d be there to help them retire with dignity. These are the people that the Trump Administration is directly harming by cutting Social Security”, she stated, emphasizing the importance of these benefits for retirees.

Later that same day, Trahan announced the allocation of substantial federal funding towards local infrastructure. “Today, I was thrilled to celebrate over $12 million in federal funding from the #BipartisanInfrastructureLaw to improve safety and accessibility on Boston Road in Westford. It’s a privilege to deliver the support needed to make our communities a better place to call home.” This funding is part of the broader efforts facilitated by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

On April 8, 2025, Trahan expressed her support for military personnel, emphasizing the importance of honoring their service with adequate support. “We wouldn’t be here today without the brave men and women in uniform who selflessly risked their lives to defend our freedoms.” She underscored the necessity of providing them with reliable healthcare and housing, stating that they deserve “nothing less than our full support.”
