Lori Trahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district since 2019, commented on local education initiatives and national trade policy in a series of posts on December 10, 2025.
In one post published at 18:34 UTC, Trahan marked the opening of a newly renovated educational facility: “Great to see Nashoba Valley Tech officially open the newly renovated Cosmo Cuts to serve the community and empower student-centered learning. When we invest in our students, they can develop the practical skills needed to build successful careers!”
Later that day, at 20:31 UTC, she addressed former President Donald Trump’s tariff policies and their impact on American workers and farmers: “Trump is slowly but surely starting to realize that his tariff plan ended up being a disaster for every hardworking American. He promised to stand with our farmers, but instead, Trump turned his back on the very folks who ensure families can put food on the table.” A follow-up post included only a link: “https://t.co/ufQBRqbIlU”.
Trahan succeeded Niki Tsongas in Congress after her election in 2018 and previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Lowell in 1973 and currently residing in Westford, she is an alumna of Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 1995.
