Lori Trahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district, recently addressed community and global events through a series of posts on her social media account.
On December 13, 2025, Trahan commended the New England Patriots for their engagement in local communities: “The @Patriots keep winning – both on the field and in our communities! Great to see players like Caedan Wallace taking the time during the holidays to give back to some of their biggest fans.”
The following day, December 14, she commented on two tragic incidents: shootings at Brown University and an attack during a Hanukkah celebration in Sydney, Australia. In her post she stated: “My heart is heavy after the devastating shootings at Brown University, where innocent students were killed and others wounded during finals week, and in Sydney, Australia at a Hanukkah celebration that took so many lives and injured many more. Keeping the families and friends of”
Later that same evening, Trahan marked the start of Hanukkah with a message to those celebrating: “Tonight marks the beginning of Hanukkah. To all our family, friends, and neighbors who celebrate, may these next eight days be filled with peace, light and blessings! Chag sameach! “
Trahan has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Niki Tsongas. She previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Lowell in 1973 and now residing in Westford, Trahan is also a Georgetown University graduate.
