Lori Trahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district since 2019, posted a series of messages on her official X account addressing issues ranging from tariffs and health care costs to support for pediatric brain cancer initiatives.
On October 30, 2025, Trahan commented on the impact of tariffs introduced during Donald Trump’s administration, writing: “If you already bought candy for Halloween, you’ve likely seen Donald Trump’s tariffs at work. Higher prices for the same stuff. Talk about scary!”
Later that day, she addressed concerns over rising health care costs as open enrollment approached: “Open enrollment starts on Saturday, and millions of Americans are starting to see how much their health care prices are going to skyrocket. Republicans could have prevented this. Instead, they refused.”
On October 31, Trahan highlighted her team’s participation in a community event supporting pediatric brain cancer research: “#TeamTrahan carved out a win at this year’s Pumpkin Bash! Each pumpkin supports Imagine an Answer to Kids’ Brain Cancer and their mission to end pediatric brain cancer. Let’s keep fighting for kids and families who need life-saving care most.”
Trahan has represented Massachusetts’ 3rd district in Congress since succeeding Niki Tsongas in 2019. Before serving in Congress, she was a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Lowell in 1973 and currently residing in Westford, Trahan graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1995.
