Lori Trahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district since 2019, has recently highlighted her legislative and community engagement through a series of posts on social media.
On August 6, 2025, Trahan shared her visit to a regional laboratory in Marlborough operated by Quest Diagnostics, stating: “I toured @QuestDX’s Regional Laboratory in Marlborough, where medical innovation is on full display. In Congress, I’ve been working to make sure every patient has access to clinical testing — no matter their income. We must pass the bipartisan Saving Access to Laboratory”.
The following day, August 7, she commemorated Purple Heart Day with a message honoring service members: “Today, on Purple Heart Day, we honor the brave men and women who have been wounded or killed in service to our country. The Purple Heart is a solemn symbol of sacrifice, resilience and unwavering courage. It represents the cost of defending the freedoms we hold dear, and the”.
Later that evening, Trahan addressed efforts against antisemitism in Massachusetts schools by acknowledging local initiatives: “I applaud the Massachusetts Special Commission on Combating Antisemitism for their critical work to develop tangible, actionable recommendations to increase awareness of and confront antisemitism in schools across the Commonwealth. As antisemitic and religious-based hate”.
Trahan has represented Massachusetts’ 3rd district in Congress since succeeding Niki Tsongas in 2019. Before her tenure in Washington D.C., she served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Lowell in 1973 and now residing in Westford at age 49, Trahan earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University in 1995.
