Lori Trahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district since 2019, has recently posted a series of statements on her official social media account addressing government transparency, economic issues facing American families, and corporate practices.

On September 2, 2025, Trahan announced her participation in an effort to make public documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. She wrote, “I just signed the discharge petition to force the release of the Epstein files. The American people deserve the truth – no more delays from the White House, no more excuses from Republicans in Congress.”

Addressing rising consumer costs the following day, Trahan attributed these increases to policies enacted during Donald Trump’s presidency. On September 3, 2025, she stated: “Working families are facing higher prices everywhere they turn – at the pharmacy, the grocery store, even in places like Walmart and Target. The root cause: Trump’s reckless tariffs.”

Later that same day, Trahan commented on business practices affecting consumers in Massachusetts: “Too many corporations use junk fees to pad their profits at the expense of families and consumers. It’s great to see Massachusetts lead the way by cracking down on this glaring corporate greed!”

Trahan has represented Massachusetts’ 3rd District since succeeding Niki Tsongas in 2019 and previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Lowell in 1973 and currently residing in Westford, she holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
