Lori Trahan, U.S. Congresswoman representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district since 2019, posted a series of updates on her official social media account between December 18 and December 19, 2025. The posts covered congressional actions related to health care legislation, college cost transparency efforts, and her end-of-year report for constituents.
On December 18, Trahan criticized House Republicans’ decision to close out the legislative year without addressing pending bipartisan health care legislation. She wrote: “House Republicans just adjourned Congress for the rest of the year. No vote on bipartisan legislation to prevent health care premiums from skyrocketing for 20 million Americans.”
Later that day, she highlighted an initiative aimed at improving financial clarity for prospective college students. In her words: “Too many families don’t learn the real cost of college until it’s too late. That’s why I introduced the Student Financial Clarity Act, bipartisan legislation that will help students compare real costs, aid and outcomes before enrolling.”
On December 19, Trahan announced the release of her annual report to residents of Massachusetts’ 3rd district. She stated: “Above all else, my responsibility as your representative is to you. That’s why I’m proud to release my 2025 End of Year Report to #MA3 residents! Click here to read this year’s report: https://t.co/h9zjZfWz8c https://t.co/okrqlPuj9a”
Trahan has represented Massachusetts’ 3rd district in Congress since replacing Niki Tsongas in 2019 and previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Lowell in 1973 and currently residing in Westford, Trahan holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
