The University of Massachusetts Lowell women’s lacrosse team had five players named to the America East All-Conference teams, according to an April 30 announcement from the conference.
These honors recognize individual and academic achievements at the end of the 2026 season. Grace Lydon was selected for the America East All-Conference Second Team. Chiara Pompei and Brienne Brezynskie were chosen for the All-Rookie Team, while Claire Fader and Brownyn Hilbert earned spots on the All-Academic Team.
Head Coach Lisa Miller said, “I’m happy that these five were recognized by the conference. As engineering majors, Bronwyn and Claire are the epitome of ideal student-athletes. They represent the University and the lacrosse program well on the field, in the classroom, and as teammates. Bri and Chiara were moved into big roles this spring and embraced the challenge. Grace played everywhere, she was on the draw circle, defense, and attack. She has always been a good player; this year she was great. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Macy, who, after recovering from ACL surgery, led our team in scoring, was sixth in the conference in goals per conference game, fifth in points per game, and fourth in assists. Macy, along with Grace, led the team in every way with their fight, determination, mental toughness, and competitive nature. They knew we were up against it competitively because of the rash of season ending injuries and never stopped competing. They put the team in a better position culturally for 2027.”
Lydon completed her senior year leading her team with 26 goals along with 13 assists for a total of 39 points; she also contributed defensively with ground balls and caused turnovers. Pompei scored 19 goals during her first playing season—including an overtime winner—and added two assists.
Brezynskie made an immediate impact as a freshman by earning Rookie of The Week honors twice during her campaign while collecting multiple goals throughout key games.
Fader maintained a high academic standard with a GPA of 3.96 as a mechanical engineering major while contributing defensively over most games played this season.
Hilbert also achieved a GPA of 3.96 as an electrical engineering major; she ranked second on her team for total points scored during what became her breakout year.
