Lori Trahan, a U.S. Congress member representing Massachusetts’ 3rd district, recently shared insights on significant developments in the state via her social media platform. Trahan has been in office since 2019, succeeding Niki Tsongas, and is known for her advocacy on technological advancement and child safety online.

On June 3, 2025, Trahan announced “The opening of AM Batteries’ new Customer Success Center marks a major milestone in strengthening our domestic battery supply chain and creating good-paying, future-ready jobs – all right here in Billerica!” This statement highlights the establishment of a new facility by AM Batteries aimed at bolstering the local economy and job market.

In another post made shortly after, Trahan emphasized the importance of innovation in energy technology: “By investing in cutting-edge clean energy technologies like dry electrode manufacturing, AM Batteries is helping to position Massachusetts – and the United States – as a global leader in next-generation battery innovation.” The congresswoman underscores the strategic role of Massachusetts in advancing global battery technology through such investments.

Later that day, Trahan addressed legislative concerns related to child safety online. She expressed her stance on certain legislative measures: “Make no mistake, the families who have come to this committee and begged for us to take action to safeguard our children online won’t benefit from this disastrous legislation.” She further commented on its beneficiaries: “But you know who will? The Big Tech CEOs who sat behind Donald Trump at his inauguration.”

Trahan’s remarks reflect her ongoing commitment to both technological progress and social issues affecting her constituents.
